Easter! Every year we go to the Kuna Easter Egg Hunt. It is one of the best egg hunts I have ever been too. There are all kinds of prizes in the eggs. From a bicycle for 1st place to candy bars. There are tons of prizes. Mitchell this year had 10 different prizes. Two of which were the same prize but the coolest was his little bowling set he got. The pins are little bunnies and chicks. He loved it. We met up there with my SIL Keri and the kids got to do the hunt with their cousins. My Mom was up to help out with Ella so she was able to help with the hunt too. She took Naomi and waited with her. Seth had the older kids (thus no pictures of them....too far away). It was a fun day and weekend.

Porter had his first Pine Wood Derby. Seth always wants to be creative with stuff like that. Halloween costumes are always an argument because he wants to make a really elaborate costume for each of the kids but then I end up doing it and hating every minute of it. This time I let him be as elaborate as he wanted because he would be the one working on it with Porter not me.......or so I thought. So Porter chose to make his car the Mystery Machine from Scooby Doo! I was fine with that. A week before the derby, Seth helped him by cutting out the general shape and had Porter sand down the edges. Then it sat for the next week just as he had left it before. Two days before the derby I mixed some paint to get the right color and had Porter paint it. That was easy....except the paint wasn't quite the right color. The derby was the next night so we had to have it done by then. So the next day I mixed up some more paint this time the color was right. Porter was home sick that day with strep throat but felt good enough to paint the car again. You have to remember the derby is that night and we are just now getting it painted. Then I had to mix more paint to get the right color green for the bottom and windows of the van. Since it was such a small area, Porter couldn't really do it by himself. So I painfully painted the car while he laid on the couch. We don't have any really small brushes so in order to paint on the words and the flowers, I had to dip a small nail into the paint and draw it on the van. Now that it's almost 3 pm and we finally have the paint done it's time to figure out how to put on weights....but wait we don't have any yet and I need to buy a clear spray paint so the paint will stay on the car. So I head to the store. I have no idea where to find weights so I pick some up at the Scout office and pay an arm and a leg for them. Then to Wal-Mart to get the spray paint. By this time it's getting to be close to rush hour and traffic is getting bad. Seth calls and says he is on his way home and when I tell him what I am doing (in a not so nice way because I am so frustrated and fet up with trying to do this dumb car) he tells me to stop at shucks to pick up different weights to put in the holes he drilled. I waited 10 minutes for someone to tell me they don't have any of those. So I was done, it was painted and it looked like a car. Who cares how much it weights. It weighed in at 3.5 ounces that's not that far off the regular 5 ounces max. It wouldn't make that much of a difference? would it? Well that night was sadly a disaster. Porter's car was the slowest car of the bunch. It looked good but just was not very fast. Sorry we don't have any close-up pictures. Next year, he is doing the entire car by himself. I refuse to do what I did this year.

ELLA RANELL KING We had her blessed on May 4th, 2008. It was a wonderful blessing. We didn't have a lot of family here but we were happy with those who were able to make it. Here are some of the pictures we took after the blessing. (There are so many babies being born in our ward there were 2 other babies blessed that day. Also our ward is growing so much they read 6 different families records into the ward also that day.)

I caught wind of a couple really good cereal sales at Albertson's. The first time I got each box for around $.57 each. The second sale was a General Mills sale so I got cake mixes and frosting, chips, snacks for travel & hikes this summer, granola bars etc. The second trip I spent about $98 and saved about $167. We have so much cereal now in food storage it is crazy.

It was time for a change! I have been wanting to chop and highlight my hair for a while but was waiting until after I had the baby. Thought maybe it would help me feel lighter and maybe a little sexier. I really like the way it turned out. Thanks Val.

These are just a few of the pictures I was able to post today. There will be more to come. Until next time!
Oh, and by the way I want to say HAPPY BIRTHDAY to by big brother RYAN! I love you!
