School's Out For Summer

Now how many of you have that song stuck in your head?

Really though, I don't know if I will survive. The first day the kids were driving me crazy. I had a chiropractor's apt and he was saying his kids were driving his wife nuts and she was in contact with some friends and their kids were driving their moms nuts too. It must have been the day. The kids were all excited and us Mom's haven't figured out a routine yet.

I must say now that it has been a week with them home, it is getting better. They are understanding (most of them) that what Mom says goes and that they can't just sit and watch t.v. all day long. Every morning they clean their rooms and do their two major chores. When those are done they can play but if they want to go do something fun they have to have those things done first. The first couple days this week was tough.....I was grouchy because I hadn't been able to go out like I wanted and they were grouchy because they had sat in their rooms all day to clean. Well maybe had they just picked up the 10 things in their room and got it done instead of sitting in there they would have been able to do something fun. Kyah has had the hardest time actually doing her jobs.

But yesterday and today have been much better. They are starting to get it.....finally. At least until they throw some other test at me.

I did an exercise video yesterday and the kids were doing it with me....it was pretty funny to see them trying to do it. I also played volleyball last night and was going to take today off from working out but the kids wanted to do it anyway. If they do it tomorrow I'll try to get some pictures of them to post.
