What's up Ella!

Ella has been growing and changing so fast I can't keep up.  I have been needing to post for a while now.  So here's what is new with her.

About a week after I posted (that she could roll from her back to her front (but only one direction), she started sitting up on her own.  Labor Day weekend was a big weekend for her to get the sitting up down.  Now she is a pro.

On August 26th she cut her first tooth.  Then a week later she cut her second tooth.  I hope this isn't a pattern or the next few months are going to be tough.  She has been so cranky.

The same weekend (Labor Day weekend) she started coughing and wheezing.   I had taken her to the dr. the day before (before we left on our trip) and they said she just had a cold, probably from teething.  But now she was wheezing so I pulled out the nebulizer and started breathing treatments on her every 4 hours until we got home and took her in.  I was really hoping for pneumonia (it's not very often you hear a mother hope their child has pneumonia).  But if it was I knew we could treat it and it would go away.   But the chest x-rays said it was not (dang it).  The dr. said it was probably just the start of asthma issues.  Great, that makes 4 out of 5 now.  But at least I know what I'm doing with it.  In fact I was a little nervous to give her breathing treatments without a dr. telling me I could.  But when I told them that I had been giving them to her all weekend they said "Good, that's exactly what you should have been doing.  You know what you're doing so that's fine."

The last thing she has really gotten down is eating baby food.  We started trying to give it to her just before 6 months old and she REALLY didn't like it.  But now she wants to eat any time we are eating.

She has been trying really hard to crawl already.  She walks her hands out as far as she can and then falls on her tummy or face.  But she is determined enough it will not take her long.  I cannot believe she is moving around so quickly.  I just want her to sit there for a really long time.  She is just too busy.  I will never be able to keep up with her once she starts crawling.

That's about it for her.  Sorry no pictures.  I was just tying to get a quick post in.  I hope to get a minute to blog later when I can post some pictures.

Sounds like she is growing like a weed {a really cute weed!}. I love watching them grow and learn new things! It's so much fun!

It was so fun to see her over LD weekend as it was to see all of you. I'm glad that the doctor didn't get upset with you about the treatments! Especially since I was prodding you to go ahead. :)

One good thing about Thanksgiving is we will get to see you again in a little over two months! That's worth looking forward to.

Ahhh man! I am missing so much! I hope we can get back soon.

Sorry about the asthma, but at least you do know what you're doing.

How are the other kids doing with it? Is Porter outgrowing it at all? I haven't heard for a while so I thought I'd ask.

Looking forward to some pictures! And you have a moment or two to relax to do it in!

RaNell, Oh my goodness, it is so good to run into you in cyberspace. It's the little big sister you never had, Deb McClure (Goodman now)! I saw Adam and Brittnee's blog on Nate and Krysta's blog, so that's how I found you. You have such a wonderful, beautiful family. I just barely started a blog, so feel free to check it out!

So sorry to hear about the asthma issues with Ella. I remember when you were learning how to do all that with Porter. You must really be a pro now! Take care and keep posting!

Wow, Ranell you are a good blogger. I feel a little sheepish about the frequency of my posts.
